Change Management

When a business grows there are a set of people along with the founder or the owner who have put in a lot of sweat and sincerity. However, a one stage of the evolution some of these people are slower to evolve. Either they continue to work the same way as they used to in the initial days of struggle or are basking in their success. The founder, also has a soft corner for such people as they were the ones who were there in growth phase. So far so good, but there is a perception that when there is an attempt to bring in a person suitable for the current state of business these people feel insecure. They then from their position of power do not let this person settle. This results in significant opportunity loss. Please reflect and share how you deal with such a situation?
